Sorry I have been absent a few days, it has been a very hard past week for me.  With Lucy.  She is now over that rainbow bridge we hear about. If what people tell me is true, she and Bill will be waiting for me there someday.  Just hope it is a very long time from now. I miss Lucy a lot, and I think Cindy and Annie do too. Lucy was a very fantastic cat, for the 14 1/2 years I had her.  Got her as a 6 week old from the shelter.

Liz, Big Head may yet turn up.  If not, at least you know he had a great life!! How is your convalescing going?  Ron, how are you doing and Willie I do hope Kobe will be fine while you are gone.  This is the only  hard part of having and loving our pets, when they get old, sick or hurt.  So painful.  I buried Lucy in my flower garden.  Very deep and sprinkled flower seeds on the soil.

Dennis, sounds like you have such a good positive outlook on your life!  You will do well I know.  I have a very ill lady friend with so many bad things going on, but she keeps a very good and positive attitude and is responding well to her 3 mo. so far of  treatments.

My 6 discus are all well, goldfish and 1 koi are fine too, even my silly little Endlers are good.  When I get older and can't keep fish anymore, I will always have a little tank or large bowl of pretty Endlers!  And some live plants in with them.  I use just rainwater for them so plants grow well there.

I will be back soon, you all have a good evening!

Hi friends!

And a belated Happy Mom's Day from me as well, Barb and Liz. We talked with our Granddaughter and Daughter on Sunday which is always a nice treat. And we had 2 couples over for pizza and Pegs n Jokers that evening.

Liz I hope you're convalescing well and I'm sorry Big Head hasn't shown up. Maybe he still will.

Getting everything back in place is a task, but I think you're doing it right by going slowly, Willie.

I've got my office tank maintenance to do today and then I'll pick up some gold rams from my breeder. Lucy is doing two card classes today and then taking off the summer months.

The company that carries our auto up insurance is dropping all their private vehicle contracts and my new quotes are double what it has been.🤬 I'm looking at aarp's Hartford plans. They look somewhat better than the rest.

I hope all of you have a great day.

It's hard having an old dog.

I have bad news about Big Head.  April came down every day to give him his pill in string cheese.  He was well and happy the entire time.  When I arrived home he was gone.  April and her daughter looked everywhere for him. There have been a lot of snakes around lately.  A copperhead was run over on my road just the other day. My hope is that he got bitten by a venomous snake and bled to death.  It's an easy way to go.

Good morning everyone. Happy belated Mother's Day to Barb and Liz. After a weekend of lousy weather we are finally getting some sunshine and temps will climb from the high 30s to a high temp in the low 70s. That is my kind of weather especially since I can get Kobe out of the house without worrying about him over heating.

I was very busy this weekend with putting this house back together after the flooring install. I'm taking my time because I don't want to hurt my self doing anything. I also was busy making arrangements for someone to keep Kobe for a couple of days while I go up to New York for my nieces' wedding on the 25th.

The problem is that I am going away for 2 days and the place I normally take him to will not allow me to pick him up until the Tuesday after the holiday so Kobe would have to stay there for 4 nights. That doesn't work for me. I will be home by Sunday morning.

I did find someone who will take him for me on a site called Rover. She lives about a mile from me and is a dog trainer. Kobe and I went to visit her over the weekend. She does boarding and daycare in addition to training and has experience administering medications. She also worked for Caesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer) for a while when she lived in LA.

I will make it so that she will only have to give Kobe his meds on Friday evening and Saturday to make it as easy as possible. He sleeps most of the time these days so I hope he sleeps a lot while there.

That's it for me. Hopefully you all will have a great day and I will peek in later to see what you all have going on.

Thanks Liz, right back at you!  I'm feeling lots better and hope to be back up-to-speed in another week.

Look after yourself.  These kind of things sneak up on us when we least expect them.

hi guys.  Yes, I'm home.  The first thing I did was do a large WC. No climbing, but in order to vacuum the bottoms of the 2 Discus tanks I had to go one step on the step stool.  The WC exhausted me.  I'm in bed now with the babies.  Big Head has gone missing.  April said that he was always either in the house when she came over or outside to greet her.  We had a big storm last night.  His disappearance may have been due to that.  April and Michaela looked for him but had no luck.  He can't hear and he can't see well.  There is nothing I can do about it which is terrible.  Dennis, I hate that you busted yourself up.  I hope we're both up and about with little to no pain soon.  I need to snooze now.  I'll talk to y'all again tomorrow.

Hi folks, Liz is home, I will give her a couple days to settle in and call her this weekend. She will need those neighbors help I'm sure.  Maybe she can teach one of them to do water changes while she watches an instructs.  I can see that working out.  I know how happy her dogs and cat must be.

Dennis sorry you got hurt, hope you heal up, feel better real soon.  And good luck with the PT Ron, hope it helps.  My aching left knee turns out to be a side effect of the Fosamax bone pills I have been taking a long time.  Since I stopped it ,all pain is now gone. Sure wish I knew about this before.  Lots of wasted PT, xrays, Tylenol, 6 knee braces, missed walking, etc.  I haven't walked painfree in decades.  Now I can.  First my hip, then knee.  All now fixed, fingers crossed it lasts. As long as I don't do something clumsy and fall or something......

Hope you are all good,
Barb

Hi guys and gals!

I hope you got, or get, home okay Liz. We have a lady here in our community that I've been helping get to the docs and so forth. She lives alone, but there are a bunch of us helping her with all this. She's the one who had her knee replacement replaced. Your neighbors will be good to you, I'm sure. And your animals will be happy to have you home.

So far I've been fortunate. Aches and pains are a little less now that it's warming up. I do have tingling and numbness in my left hand, though, that is a nuisance. Doc recommends PT for it if I don't want surgery on my neck. We'll see.

Got a call recently from my old neighborhood in Florence. Someone died and they want me to get the aquarium out of the house. I'll be doing that tomorrow morning. Then picking up fish in the opposite direction in the afternoon. I'll spend the rest of the day/evening acclimating fish!

Our trip to Sedona was a lot of fun. The other couple was easy to travel with. We played a lot of card games when not sight-seeing or eating! We're starting to plan a trip with them to the Old Tucson/Tombstone/Bisbee areas next month. They own a two-person appliance service business and can arrange long weekends away which is good.

Lucy had a husband die of a heart attack - totally unexpected. She has taught me not to put off things you want to do because you may not get to do them.

Thinking of you, Barb, Willie, and Liz, and your aging animals. I know how tough it is for our little buddies to get old.

Take care you guys and gals.

Yep, that's great news Liz!  This old age thing sucks...

Last Friday morning, I met up with the old timers I worked with at Home Depot for breakfast.  I was telling them about how great I had been feeling and my up-comming treatment appointment.

Later that day, one of the bikes fell on me in the garage and I've been all screwed up for the last week.  Could hardly get in and out of bed.  I'm thinking I'll be all better in another week.

The worst thing, at least I think it's the worst thing, is how I've got all these plans, and I just keep getting further and further behind because of little health problems cropping up.

I may have already waited too dam long to do some of the things I had planned.  I'm hoping that's not the case, I guess time will tell.
