I am using a cheap Canon Printer (MX 920) and it works great. My HP wireless crapped out on me right after the warranty expired so I switched.

The HP 1000 or 1010, if you can still find one.  Walmart used to carry them for $29.....  works with Win 7, 8, 10, Linux, etc.  Black cartridge is $15, twin pack black and color goes for about $32
