...oddly enough I remember the recliner fad during the 50's.....my Dad got his first around '49-'50....but that was all one piece....he didn't get the recliner/Ottoman til late 50's.....then ditched the recliner for a nice big comfy leather chair with a large Ottman......and never had another recliner after that...
