Have they always been a favorite Bill, or is that something you acquired from your time in the UK?  Got your hooligans mate?

I have liked The Who since I was in High School.
When I was in my noisy college party dorm, I would play the Who loud to drown out the other noise so I could study. Worked well. Got good grades.

WRT being in the UK (in New Castle, in Northern England, just south of Scotland), my strongest impression was the food, the older history and architecture (saw a lot of castles), and some weird words or words with different meanings (fag = cigarette).

Outside of London the food was terrible (could only get ice cream made with non-dairy products), except for the Indian food which was great. They also had a lot of "old" foods (Haggis, brains and kidney pie, spotted dick (raisins in lard)). "Tex-Mex" was big in London.
