It reads like it will be great.  I'll have to make ingredient substitutions.  Mirin in Ellisville , no way.  Their might be a chance of finding it in Hattiesburg, but I doubt it. No Nori seafood flakes but we have nori in sheets that I can crumble up.  Black sesame seeds? I doubt it.  Brown rice vinegar?  I can get white rice vinegar.  It will have to do.  This meal will be my culinary week end project.  I'll let y'all know how it turns out.  http://www.splendidtable.org/recipes/noodles-with-shrimp-and-pickled-cucumber?via=eloqua

It actually looks good by the picture....but the 'witch's brew' of ingredients looks crazy.... :o....but it just might work for you?....good luck !

?Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ?Wow! What a Ride!? ~ Hunter S. Thompson

Oh how I love listening to that lady's show.  She has this classy, sexy way of talking about the food.  I'd be willing to bet she could make dog food sound gourmet and appetizing.  LOL

I listen to her every week.  She knows good food, for sure.
