Haven't had Subway in years. Last time I did I thought it was expensive and I used better meats at home. Plus I didn't care for their bread. The wife gets it every so often but she doesn't appreciate a good sandwich.

I had subway once when a dog friend visited the shop and brought us lunch.  It was good but not memorable enough to buy again.

It's not bad Liz...they have a good variety of meats, and you can choose any type of bread/lettuce/tomato/onions/peppers/ yada yada toppings that you want...even have it toasted....for around $5 for a foot long....it's not that expensive...they don't charge extra for all those toppings either....gourmet? nope....but a pretty decent sandwich...yes....

I wouldn't say we're snobs Mugs. Just that we can appreciate a good sandwich and realize that Subway is neither.

I would call this a food fight.

LizStreithorst

If I ate lunch to tide me over I would do subway.  But since I generally just eat one meal a day I save myself for something excellent which usually means home made.  Now when I have a good excuse to go to Hattiesburg where there are decent restaurants I take advantage of them.
