Worthless Cat!

She must be spending all her time looking at birds or sleeping.  I saw evidence of a mousie in the laundry room where I keep my dog, cat, and wild bird food.  It seems that meeces like black oil sunflower seeds best, but they leave evidence.  I saw the hulls.  Then when I turned on the oven, one popped out from a small nook in the side of the stove.  I saw it with my own eyes.

So far, since yesterday, I've caught 2 from the stove area (fat suckers, too) and one in the laundry room.  I know there's at least one more in there because one of the sneaky bastards was able to eat the bait, spring the trap and get away.

The towing guy saw a mousie under Charlottes's hood as I was pouring clutch fluid into her clutch fluid place.

I don't know what to do.  Xena will be highly offended if I get another cat, but this state of affairs cannot continue.

Maybe the poor gal is just full from eating the unseen ones??

?Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ?Wow! What a Ride!? ~ Hunter S. Thompson

I don't know about that.  I haven't seen any corpes in the house for several month now.  All the while meeces have been making my house their home.  I'm going to keep setting traps but if another cat comes along that looks like a hunter I'll give it a good look.
