I have always had live plants with most of my Gourami. I just planted my Pearl Gourami tank. They have never had live plants in there tank. They have destoryed my large Swords in the matter of two weeks. Does anybody have a idea why.

Maybe lacking enough vegetable matter in their normal diet?

That was my thought..or the micro organisms on the plants were just too tasty to resist??

I feed them Repashy Shrimp Souffle and Community Plus. Blood worms and BS. No flake. These plants came from another Gourami tank and were doing well in that tank. They are not picking on any of the other plants just the large swords

How do you like the Repashy JR?  I feed mostly the Soilent Green, (about 5 or 6 days a week), and despite the name, it has plenty of protein.

My fish love it. I stoped feeding flakes. They spawn better and have better color. It is a great food.
