Tomorrow is culling day.  That's because Friday is Garbage day.  I've tried planting dead fish in the garden but my Rat Terrier, Tink started digging them up after six days and ate every one, so waiting for garbage day is easier.

I have some fish that need culling.  Killing culls as babies is a piece of cake.  I have to cull some HB's that are older but not doing as well as they should be.  That won't be too hard.  What will be very very hard will be killing 8 of the 10 in the Discus tank.  I should kill all 10 but 2 are too beautiful to kill even though they are non breeders.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Most times I can get past culling pretty easily....then there times that I end up procrastinating because I think they will magically grow........it sucks....

I get though it by making myself believe that they're just fish.

It's the single aspect of the hobby that just sucks. Can't say much good about it.

The really tough ones are the batches that grow nice and uniformly. I find myself really straining to find a reason.

Then there's the nightmares. Bought a pair of blacks from a guy in Mass. a good while back. Put down a huge spawn right off the bat and parented them. But as the black ones grew to peas you could see it immediately. None of them had an anal fin. Well over a hundred of them. Really turned my stomach a bit.

What low life would ship a pair that he knew damn well produce culls?  He should be hung by his thumbs.
