new possible lid material

I have been looking at a variety of possible lid materials. Until recently my current favorite was the sunlite material that I could find at Home Depot, Lowes, and Jerry's (a local equivalent). This is the polycarbonate sheets that have square spaces going from one side to the other.

there are several things I like about this stuff: It is polycarbonate so it does not warp like plexiglas/acrylis sheets. It is lighter (and therefore less expensive than a solid sheet of polycarbonate because it has less material). On the other hand it is still expensive. Since it seems overly strong for its intended use, I wanted to find a thinner version of this that would have less material and therefore be cheaper.

Once I figured out their generic name was multiwall polycarbonate panels I could find lots of similar things on the web. The product usually found on Home Depot etc, is 8 mm thick.
I found 2 greenhouse supplier places that had 6 mm thick multi-wall panels,

and one that had an 8 mm panel made out of acrylic (plexigals).

The prices are good but the shipping is slow.
