Please tell the female not to lay like a drunken sailor.  Tell her fella that he should love her up a bit before they spawn.  It helps with some females.  If I could speak to them in person I would tell them that I am hot for their kids. 

Dang recalcitrant fish.  All you can do is wait them out and hope for the best.  Seem's the most impotent ones are the most problematic.
