Sorry to hear about #2.

It's only their second laying, so I guess without knowing past genetics they could be weak parents, who knows...or...they might have even suffocated the poor little guy...?? they're on a learning curve, I guess....

The thought of suffocation was the first thing that crossed my mind.

He can clean himself pretty well now. The head swivels nicely but not quite like an owl...LOL...hence we wipe him down with a damp/wet paper towel when he drools...
