http://www.thezenofslowcooking.com/slow-cooker-coq-au-vin-a-la-julia-child-2/   This is one of my favorites and I haven't made it in ages.  You poor dears up in the frozen north will love it.  It's deep with complex flavors and very "stick to the ribby"  I serve it over wide egg noodles or white rice.
