Hello folks,
The last week was busy and great!  And full of fishy things! First, on Sunday I drove Ian Fuller up to Mt. Rainier and around the area and into a virgin forest area which I?ve never seen before.  He wanted to see and photograph as much of the natural settings around here that he could. So that?s what we did.  He told me he?s spent 40 years in macro-photography shooting images of catfish and now he wanted to expand his subject matter to nature.  It was a nice clear day all around except on the top of the mountain which was shrouded in cloud. Oh well.  On the way home we shot some of the peak from the distance after the cloud left.

As we got back into Seattle we stopped at a viewpoint on a dock across Elliot Bay from the city and he did night shots of the lighted up cityscape.  This was his first attempt at night photography and I think he really enjoyed it.  Because we stayed out so late, we missed fish and chips at my favorite spot because they closed at 9pm and it was 9:20.  So I still don't know how Spuds fish and chips size up with the British variety.

I didn?t know about the virgin forest area until that morning when I picked him up at our new club president?s home and she said we should try to get over in that direction to see it. Wow! The trees were huge!  But I?m told not a large in circumference as the Redwoods in CA.  Gotta get there to see them sometime!

I took him to a local water fall Tuesday.  We must have done 200 shots each there.  Then we went downstream and did some water shots and bees on flowers and a couple small wasps doing the big nasty!  Insect porn!
I got him to our speaker?s dinner with a few club members just in time, even with the horrible Seattle traffic as we came back into town.  He gave a great presentation on the Cory cats at the meeting that night.  He left for Vancouver, BC Wed morning to present to the Vancouver club.

What I can say about Ian is that he is full of energy, has a love of his fishes, and a love for food, beer and life!  He tells great stories too.

Friday I spent all day preparing for the 3rd Seattle Area Aquarium Swap meet.  It was a good event on Saturday.  We held it outside this time and had about the same number of tables there but fewer attendees.  The weather held out fine and every vendor said they would do it again.

Sunday was granddaughter select softball day and birthday dinner for her Mom, our daughter, that evening! Then we watched the Seahawks whop the 49ers.  WooHoo!

Yesterday was a little real estate work and today was getting a CPAP machine, taking guppies to one of our school?s tanks, and picking up some gorgeous goldfish to rehome!

Daggone?I?m worn out just reading back over this?!  G?nite you all!
Ron
Happy Aquariuming,

It's as if you packed a month into just a few days.....lots of great activity. After all that, it'll hit you in a few days....ZZZZZZZzzzzz.....LOL...I'm happy that all went well and that you had a wonderful time. Now Ian has even more stories to tell.  ;D
