National Geographic, Celebrating 125 years

A good read, always....when I was a young lad, we had a retired judge, and his wife, that lived in a house on the way to school. The town was less than 500 people at that time. My brother and I would stop and sit on their front porch steps, and talk with them, occasionally over delicious home made lemonade. On the rainy days, Judge Heally would let us go up in his attic, and read his old National Geographic's. ....good memories...

That was nice.  It used to be that no one threw their copies of National Geographic away. And the pictures of topless native women were "giggle worthy" back then. Lol.

I liked the maps, and pictures of different countries. I still have the 1952 issue with Cousteau and the aqua lung.

I gave my grandson all my dads National Geographics last month.  There was from 1945 to 1991 every issue. Dad saved every one of them. My grandson loves them. I was cleaning out my basement and told the boys they could have anything down there. When DJ told me that he would like to have them I thought that was so neat.
