I was thinking about doing a peroxide treatment on my holding tank just to do as periodical cleaning and bacterial prevention. Do you think this would be fish safe water after say 12-14 hours or would I need to dump it ask afterwards?

I wipe mine out with a peroxide soaked paper towel...in your case, the peroxide will dissipate in about 12 hrs....good to use before that , if you want...not enough to upset any bio...

I prefer to use PP on mine.  You deactivate it with H2O2 and you're good to go with the water that is already in it.
