Another "I think it should be this way, so you all will have to conform" kind of Idea.

Sounds like a big waste of time to me.  There will be people complaining that it is dark when they get up to go to school.  If he wants more sunshine, lets shoot him into space where the sun shines 24 hours a day. An added benefit would be that his DNA could mutate into something useful.
