and getting really 'purty'.. .......Willie, your female Koi is one of the 'chosen' ones... .....remember when I told you to watch and pair good females??....this is why.....in my experience with this line, they carry the 'goods' bro....

Super good color on those.  It's true with the red strains of Discus that the females throw the color and the males throw the shape.

I've run these lines for years now....these is off the 'Princess' line, crossed to the 'one eyed Willie' line......dating back about 2-3 yrs ago....their offspring throw wonderful coverage/colors....I still have that pair too...     they don't spawn as often now, but I'll be pulling the next spawn......"cross backs"

That female is surely my favorite at this time. I think I am going to get her a new boyfriend since he hasn't done his job the last couple of times. I have them in a 29g right now. First I will put them back in the 20 high where these fry were spawned.

Willie, try the largest male that you have.....veil too, if possible.... ........then select for size/color......I'll be working in the same direction...

then we'll have some nice fry for swapping....I have an out of line cross all lined up here...

I have my eye on one. He's a mean one though. I have him in a 16 gallon bowfront all by himself. He almost took another male's eye out. I had to separate them. The other one is healing nicely. This all happened two days ago.

The bully does not have full coverage but on his crown he is the brightest red/orange of all of them.

I need to let him heal up a bit to see if he has his potential. I actually sold him to a friend and I am babysitting him and the bully until my friend gets herself together. I suspect I will end up giving her a couple of tier two fry and keep these. lol

I do have a couple of nice pairs in the community tank. Just waiting to set up more tanks. Need an electrician to come in and give me more juice. lol I've got about 200 gallons of tanks to still set up.
