What material did she make them out of?  I can't imagine a crocheted pot scrubber :o

It's a special yarn,a netting like mesh, called 'matte net',  it's rough as a green pad,   ;D   washable too, obviously....she used a gal pail, and just swished it to rinse as she went along...changing water occasionally.....

A gal pail ::)  I don't use that.  I let all the gross stuff float around in the tank, wait for it to settle, then do a huge WC.

Tell Jan that I would like to try a couple of these.  I want a fish hat and I want two scrubbies.  To whom do I send the Paypal? ;D

Cool idea.
If they are acrylic like acrylic yarn, they will bleach well too.

The material reminds 'me' of the wedding veil mesh...but when crocheted tightly together....is extremely rough...they use the ;D larger ones for kitchen pot scrubbers...

I have one of those that my late Mom gave me years ago.  Women she knew were making them in Florida as a craft project. They are awesome as pot scrubbers too. I've  worn two of them out in the kitchen. The last one left is my fish tank one.

My Mom made a bunch of those for us a couple of years ago. We use them all over the house. On the fish tanks, too. When we had the hot rod with white lettered tires those things were the bomb.
