daughter wants tree frogs

My daughter (13) wants to get a red eye tree frog (very cute animal). I know they are arboreal and like high humidity.

I have never kept tree frogs before (but have kept a lot of salamaders, young frogs, and rubber eels) and I would like to hear people's ideas about set-ups for them and their care.
I have lots of aquarium laying around, but not tall ones. I was thinking of putting a 20G on end, siliconing a sheet of plastic on the bottom of the top opening and putting a clear plastic door above that.

What is a good way to keep the humidity high?
Any recommended plants?

Hey Bill, I don't know the first thing about keeping frogs, but a member of our local club keeps and breeds dart frogs.  He has a great web site with lots of pictures and info...  might be of some help?

Wow Dennis,

He has some beautiful set-ups. I'll have to read what he has to say this weekend.
I like his tanks standing on end.

That is too cool! Now I want a frog!

If she wants green tree frogs now, please never let her see a pic of a Poison Dart Frog.  I make do with 2 grey tree frogs who have decided to spend the winter in the fish room.
Always move forward. Never look back.
