I'm furious.  There is a nurse practitioner in Ellisville  who has been in business for years.  I don't go to him, but I know of two people who her has prescribed Meloxicam to for high blood pressure.  If a nurse practitioner can be sued for malpractice or run out of town on a rail it is this guy.  He he screws up on something that basic how blind he he when he sees something life threatening?  I don't know if there is anything I can do to take him down, but I'm going to give it a go >:(

This guy has brought out the German in me.  I can't put this down and let it rest in peace until I put a stop to it :-[

I take meloxicam "as needed" when my muscle spasms get extreme.  It knocks me out. That's a horrible mistake that the NP is making.

Edit:
My mistake..I mixed up the Meloxicam (Mobic, prescription NSAID) which I take daily with Flexeril (muscle relaxer) that I take as needed.

Note to self...don't post while watching a nerve wracking hockey game.

From a quick read that I did on Meloxicam..

"Meloxicam may reduce the blood pressure-lowering effects of drugs that are given to reduce blood pressure. This may occur because prostaglandins play a role ..."

Such a level of incompetence is unforgivable.  My dog Saint puppy is on meloxicam to help with his recovery from knee surgery.
