Good morning everyone. It is midweek again but of course to us retirees what does midweek even mean? All is well here except for some steamy weather that was brought to us by all of the Thorms we had last evening. The ground in now officially saturated and low lying areas need to watch out for flooding.

At this moment it is 73 degrees with 100% humidity. We will get to a high temp of 88 degrees this afternoon and have a 70% chance of more rain tonight.

Considering today's weather, putzing in the fishroom seems like the way to go. I am probably going to skip today's walk in the park because Kobe can't tolerate the heat and humidity. If he insist on going I'll just drive him to the park let him smell around a bit and then come back home.

Wishing you all a great day and I'll check in later.

Good Morning, Willie.  You're right, half way through the work week doesn't mean much if you no longer have a job.

It's a nice day today.  It's half cloudy and half sunny and there's a light breeze.  It will get hot later, though.  They say no rain at all this afternoon for a change.

I have a bunch of plecos and some plants to take to Twee at the fish store.  It's been over a month since I've seen Twee.  When I get home I'll have to fill up hummingbird feeders again and make another quart of sugar water.  those little dudes are hitting the feeders and flowers hard.

The Pitch Black Ram babies are up and about and chowing down on BBS.  The parents keep them confined to one corner of the tank.  The Discus wigglers of number 2 pair are looking great.  They should free swim tomorrow.  Number 1 pair has a huge batch of wigglers.  I hope that by covering the tank so the parents can't see me will keep them calm once their kids free swim.

I'll check in later to see what's up with the rest of you.  Have a happy day, friends.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Hello on this fine Wednesday...

It's 90 now and 20% humidity...going to to be about 100 today...Lucy's going with a gaggle of gals to lunch...I'm going to get my ears lowered...then later we're going to pick and bag plants...

Our pool Is having the deck resurfaced this week so it's off limits for everyone but the contractors, so the Wednesday happy hour group is moving to another park's pool owned by the same company nearby...we might be going over with them...lots of times people from our sister parks (there are 5 in the area) will come to our events...they say ours or more fun!.... There was a large table from another park at our 4th of July dinner/dance...

You all have a good day...!  |^|

Hi Ron.  You and Miss Lucy always have fun.

I'm back from Hattiesburg where I picked up money and delivered fish.  They owed me more than I thought.  I also sold 2 pairs of Pitch Blacks on AB.  I will survive until my SS check arrives.  I had Twee check if she could get the Hillstream Loaches and she can.  In fact she wanted to order them for me because she knows I'll always bring them more fish that they can sell.  I couldn't help myself.  I'll be getting 6 of them Wednesday.  I need to do more research on how to set up a tank for them.  I know that they like to rest on smooth surfaces and when they spawn they lay their eggs in little crevices.  I found a piece of wood in the reptile section that was heavy with a mostly smooth surface and has many small crevices.  I put in an empty tank and will move some trash fish to that tank to be sure that it's aquarium safe.

Today has turned into a terrible back day.  I don't think I'll be doing anything that's not necessary.  As soon as I give Charlotte her lunch  I'm going to lay down flat on my back for a while until it's time for my next pain meds.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Hi everybody!  I like to read about all your fish and plant news.  Babies, selling fish and plants, fishrooms, etc.  I am just taking good care of my Discus tank, feeding my Endlers once a day, and enjoying a tiny tank of live plants that has only a few Endlers.  No shrimp anymore, they just kept dwindling away, just don't like living here.  LOL, I can raise and keep healthy a bunch of Discus, but Shrimp are a no go for some reason.  My only plans for different fish are your guppies Willie, in the Fall when it is cooler for shipping.

The heat index is over 100 today, just almost unbearable out there. So I am indoors mostly.  My big event has been putting together a new grill/smoker I ordered online.  Lots of pieces but I did it.  It is called a Komodo Joe Jr.,  kind of like a Big Green Egg only much smaller.  And cheaper, those Eggs are very expensive.
Have a good eve!

Hey Barb that Komodo Joe Jr. sounds like around the right size for me. I don't grill much anymore and only use my grill when the grands come over.

Barb, I finally traded my shrimp off to a friend who gave me one of the 100+ gallon aquarium outside...I just wasn't into them any more....

I love to grill but my grill is sitting out back right now, unused...we are doing most of our cooking in the air fryer that we love and thank you and Liz for recommending to me...

We got all our orders out rather quickly today...and Lucy was gone to lunch for most of the time while I picked and bagged most of them...when she got home from lunch with "the girls" she finished the ones I had pulled but not bagged...then we met up with a group at the other Thesman Community for a pool happy hour...no drinking for me though...I was the driver...

Hey Liz...I'm wishing you success with the hillstreams...someone in our area was breeding them last year...they were offering them on our FB page...

I have put all my Vienna guppies in one of the outdoor tanks are they're starting to drop fry...the Metallicus are in one of the others and have bee ther 2 months longer...fry and juvies are filling that tank!!!  ;D ;D ;D Guess I'll have to take some to swaps and auctions soon....    I need another species th go in the last tank out there...maybe some nice bright swordtails...
Happy Aquariuming,
Ron
