Will the downpours ever stop?  I got the mower running yesterday (had to rebuild the carburetor) but didn't get far with mowing the area in the pasture where I want to put in a new garden and sitting spot.  We had a down pour the night before and that thigh high rye grass was just too damp to mow without stressing the mower.  I got the front lawn done, though.  It's mostly weeds and stinging nettle but my neighbor mowed it last week so it wasn't overly tall.  It's nice to have the stinging nettle so short that it doesn't brush against my ankles when I'm wearing shorts.

We had another huge downpour last night.  It's still overcast but the sun will come out this afternoon.  I hope that by Tuesday it will be dry enough out there for me to finish my job.  Barb, I'll put some chicken wire over the Elephant Ear bulb when I plant it.

I checked out the weather at the places I was going to ship to today.  Two of them are just on the edge of not needing a heat pack.  It's already too warm for a heat pack here.  I contacted the buyers who both will be having warm days next week and asked if I could put off shipping until then.  I'm afraid if I add a heat pack and ship today the fish might cook.  They can handle being too cold way better than they can handle being to hot.  That means I only have 2 boxes to get out today which is better for me.

I had a big spawn of Black Rams go free swimming this morning.  I turned them loose with the parents and mom started scooping them up and spitting them back on the saucer while dad started scooping them up and swallowing them.  I removed him and stuck him in a tank with Discus.  Mom can raise the kids by herself.

I've already done a load of laundry and unloaded the dog food into buckets and brought it in the house.  I got 50 lbs of horse feed unloaded and brought in yesterday.  I guess I'll do more laundry and then haul 50 lbs of chicken feed to the chicken house before I bag the fish and head into Ellisville to ship.  Another of my unexciting days...

Hope everyone is well today and happy.  Barb, it your hip still giving you fits?  Are you on any pain meds?  I couldn't do without mine.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Hey Liz and everyone. It is cloudy and a cold (for this time of year) 48 degrees at this moment. Rain will move in shortly and it will continue overnight. We won't start heating back up until Wednesday and we have a couple of 70 degrees days on tap later in the week.

Another day of putzing in the fishroom. I need to start cleaning the tank lids because they they are in bad shape and may be affecting my allergies. It seems like I am allergic to everything these days and maybe even my fish tanks. I hope not. huh

I'm anxious to start cutting down my evergreens in the backyard but I don't want to start something that I can't finish. I think I may call someone and get an estimate to trim them down. It may save me from hurting myself and I'll probably save myself a lot of grief too.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi all, I tried to start the thread here this morning, but it would not accept my name or password.  But now it does. Any of you have this happen?  It is cold and windy and raining all day today.  Tonight and tomorrow night will be cold.  I have my newly planted veggies covered up, the rest of my gardens will be on their own.  So much blooming, so many new leaves.....

You all sure keep busy!  Always things to do, which is the same with me. Liz, my hip hurts all the time, worst is in bed, keeps me awake or wakes me up aching.  I take Tylenol and Ibuprofen, both work for me.  I alternate them.  Sitting down is painless.  Walking and sleeping are the worst.

But I am getting used to it  and just hoping the surgery will fix me up.

...of the 4 of us, Barb, up until recently you were the one who had little or no "age" pain issues...sorry you're dealing with that...
Happy Aquariuming,
