Tank cleaning day #2

The 7 tanks that I started yesterday are clean and mostly refilled today.  It has been 15 years since I did a job like this and back then I did it to an incurable parasite called Cryptobia.

This time I'm doing because of this stuborn algae.  I don't know where it came from but I've had to scrub down at least a couple of tanks every day.  I don't think I can solve the problem but I'm going to give it my best go.  After getting those tanks clean and refilled I swear the tanks that some of which are 20 years old and have been used and abused look brand new.  Really!  I've soaked all my cones and breeding saucers and some out dry before I put them away and dry the next batch.  Then I need to soak and rinse the sponges and put them to dry.  My back hurts but I feel like I've accomplished something.  I can already tell that this will be an ongoing project.

I'm in shorts and a T shirt right now because it was what the day called for.  They said that there would be a dramatic change and they didn't lie.  I'll put out my wintertime jammies after I get out of the tub this night.

Always move forward. Never look back.

Hey Liz. Glad you were able to get those tanks finished and I am sending you good thoughts that your back is fine in the morning.

I've been running around finishing my Christmas shopping even though I said I was finished last week. At the last minute my sister decided to host XMAS at her house, I think she thinks that she is the only one who has a family.

I agreed to "stop" by because I haven't seen my siblings in two years thanks to Covid. There were 6 of us but now we are down to 5. I had a sister that passed about 10 years ago. I now have 3 sisters and 1 brother and I am the oldest.

I am on my way to a neighbor's XMAS gathering. They were the first people to move into this subdivision and I was the second. A funny story is that when I bought my 150G from Petco the husband (Lance) was an employee there and helped me load up the 150 into a uhaul. He mention that to me when he saw my fishroom for the first time and that's when I realized why he looked so familiar. We are now good friends.

I have to get going so everyone is wishes a happy Saturday.

Too Many Fish. Not Enough Tanks.
