I like the tetra 5.5 gallon tanks.  Like Jon said, gives you a bit of room to work, but keeps the fry in a confined space.  Also, I can buy the 5.5 gallons tanks much cheaper than the smaller 2.5 gallon ones.

..really??...where do you get them?....I could go for a few more tanks... ;D

For now, if I raise without parents I'll do it my way.  WC is easy for me and my water is cheap.  I over feed BBS but with a large water volume all I ever need to do is vacuum the bottom and keep the sponges well squeezed.

That's what it's all about, Liz....doing what you're comfortable with .... ;D

The last I bought came from the local Meijer's store.  They have bare 10 gallons for $9.95 and the 5.5 gallons for $8.95.

The Petco by me has the 5.5 at 13.00 and the 2.5 at 14.00.  Neither are included in t 1 dollar per gallon sale.

I used to have, (49 years ago...), some nice little 2.5 Meta-Frame tanks.  I can't recall what ever happened with them..... maybe passed them down to cousins and nephews???

I'm working on a collection of them.  Picked up a very nice 5 and a 10 at the auction last year.  When I was keeping freshwater dwarf shrimp, I ran across a guy in Arizona that had a 300 gallon Meta-Frame..... never new they made them that big, but I guess they come in all different sizes.

Phil Roe, out in Rock Island, has a whole room full of them. Most were left to him by and old fish keeper that passed on....

I have a fully restored 30 gal (28) with the SS hood and all....I may set it up here in my little computer, what all, room...??
