..up early and the coffee is wonderful.... |^|....not sure what's planned for today, but I imagine the usual putz'n yada yada... huh..

It's 41deg's now and headed up to 50deg's ....sunny?...so I see Sassy getting a walk or two ....could be even warmer by next weekend..?   I don't know what is up with this early year warmer temps, but I have a gut feeling we'll pay for it big time with the late winter cold and storms .....here's hoping it doesn't damage any early plant risers affected...

....now more coffee, of course, and to check my email....

Coffee is very good this morning. It's going to be a pretty mild day today with temps in the 50s and sunny skies. Tomorrow they are predicting rain, just as I have planned an "Open House". huh

Oh well I will just hope for the best. Today I will just stay on top of things and take care of a couple of items that need some extra attention.

I will also finish thawing out a Corned Beef that I decided I need to get rid of before St. Patrick's day rolls around again.

It's actually dated May 1st so I am sure it is just fine. I have another one in the freezer too. Oops, I wonder what the date is on that one? huh

Yes it is and I checked the other package I have in the freezer and it has a May 1st date also. Looks like I will be eating a lot of Corned Beef sandwiches until after St. Pat's day.

I also found some Kielbasa in the freezer while I was poking around. I guess I am going to have a personal Nitrite spike. huh

..morning all you all...!

...good coffee today here too... |^|...

...starting out sunny with a few clouds...don't think it'll reach 85 like it did yesterday....only 79...! 8) 8) 8)...slight chance of rain for the next 2 days...

...finished painting the back sides of the doors yesterday...replacing hardware and hanging them today...also, going to move some furniture around in our living room today...I'll get help for that because it includes moving some Lazy Boys out and some of our newer ones in....NOT good for the ol' back...!

...bought some aquatic plants while in Casa Grande yesterday to see the podiatrist (the pain in the most recent area of bunionectomy is due to degenerative arthritis...whoopeee!!), so I hope to get a few minutes to myself today to get them situated in the tank.... |^| 8) |^|

...then for dinner it's a potluck picnic out in the desert to watch the full moon rise... 8) 8) 8)

I never post to the coffee thread when I'm having my morning cup.  I hate to have to compose a post and type it in the morning.  I enjoy writing in the evening.  Who knows why?

After work  and the feed store and the supermarket I was headed home and here were two folks walking down the road.  One had a thumb stuck out even though he didn't have much hope of anyone stopping.  I drove past and in my rear view mirror I saw that the other one was a woman.  I know that I'm not supposed to pick up hitch hikers.  Don't lecture me.  They were not Bonnie and Clyde.

I told them that Charlotte was pretty packed and they'd have to squeeze in.  The lady got in first, then the man.  They were headed to the Dollar store to buy groceries.  I bet all they have to cook on is a hot plate.  Having to walk all that way and back for canned shit must be demoralizing.  Being the gracious hostess I am, I offered them an alcoholic beverage.  I had hard orange soda with me.  They were most appreciative.  I don't think that people are nice to them as a rule.

They gave me this cockamamie  story about why they were on foot, and spoke about their big (to them) plans for the future.  I drove a few miles out of my way to deliver them to the Dollar Store.  I told them that they would have to get back home on their own.  I didn't know who it was when I stopped for them.  It was the guy with no front teeth I bought the swing from.  The lady was his wife.

I'm sure that I know the truth about this couple.  Their car was repossessed.  The cute little out building they have is a bare bones rent to own.  They don't have jobs and without jobs they have no prospect of getting jobs.  They get by on worthless dreams.  It's sad.
Always move forward. Never look back.
