Charlie the Betta!

I thought I already had a topic here introducing my betta boy, but I guess I don't. Here is my handsome man, Charlemagne, or Charlie for short. He is my first male betta. He's the only one of my fish who will stay still for good pictures!

Here is him flaring. This is my favorite picture of him, even though it's not super great quality, and his tail fin isn't perfect because he was muching on himself a bit.

These are from when I first got him. He looks good outside in natural lighting, and in these you can see the gorgeous white border he had around his fins originally.

Here's a closeup of his face. I need to get him a better tank light because the incandescent makes his pretty colors look all dull and icky. :P

Betta bubbles <3

Also, he was a sneaky little fish and decided to sign up for his own Twitter account! You can see his profile here: @LePoissonCharle
He tries to educate his followers about proper fish care. But he also appears to have evil plans to take over the world, and he always says mean things about me on there...  >:(

But Charlie is a very special fish and I love him! <3
He is my second favorite fish ever, next to my last betta, Miss Peacock, who I lost to columnaris. RIP :(

Very nice mir. great name!!

Charlie has some pretty colors. He's a neat fish and good for him to try and educate others even though he's trying to take over the world.

He's a very pretty betta and appears to know it too.

Lol, thanks everyone! :)

Idk about a lady betta just yet... I've got nowhere to keep any extra hard-to-rehome babies, and I've never had any experience with acclimating them before. I think I'm content with just my buddy for now. <3

Spawning Betta fish can be a royal PITA.....  lots of room and lots of patience.

Many years ago.....  As I recall, the males like to beat up on the females, the fry are a pain to feed and must not get a chill - just a pain to raise in general, and then you need to separate all the males at a fairly young age.....  I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I moved on to cichlids.  LOL

lol! But "had" could mean "kept" or "owned", not necessarily "given birth to". xD
But wow, I thought I was the only one on here who cared about grammar. I guess I'm not alone! <3

Dennis, that's funny... :D
