Good morning all. Everything was fine when I got up this morning and when I went for a walk in the park with Kobe. When I got back and went down to the basement to feed the fish I saw that my 150G sprung a leak.

This time the leak was from the bottom sealant in the back of the tank. Luckily for me it must have just started so it was easy to clean up but I had to scramble to set up a 75G on the floor (No Stand) and move my fish (Altums) into it.

I just finished moving the fishand draining most of the tank and of course it stopped leaking. Now I have to figure out what to do next. The tank is 5 tears old and might still be under warranty but of course I don't have the receipt.

My Altums need more room than that 75 they are in for the moment so I have to move quickly on this. For now I need to eat something and take a shower but this will most definitely screw up my weekend.

Hope you guys are having a better start to your day.

Too Many Fish. Not Enough Tanks.

...Certainly a rough start for you, Willie...I hope it gets better as your day goes on...at least you and Kobe got in a good walk...

... the trip to the fish store yesterday was a good one...didn't come back with any fish, but did scope out their back warehouse area which is where we will have the swap meet...it opens into a large parking area where we can put vendor tables also...today I'll write up rules for the event and work on a flyer to post on several FB sites...

...also will take a lazy boy lounger down to one of the rentals in Florence this afternoon while Lucy's playing Bunco...

...again, Willie, I hope your day gets better...and a good day to all of you that drop in here...

Happy Aquariuming,
Ron

Good Saturday morning, folks!  Willie, I've re sealed many a tank but I think the largest I've dealt with is a 100 gallon.  Just scrape off the old silicone, vacuum the old silicone out, clean with acetone, put on fresh silicone, and wait a week or so before you test it.  I always read that 24 hrs is long enough for it to cure, but I put in fish once after 24 hrs and they died!  Play it safe and wait a week.  The job is a huge PITA.  Be sure to do a super good job of removing the old silicone and you will succeed.

My other box of fish that was lost in time and space is out for delivery today.  I really hope the fish are still alive.  This is the first time the buyer has ever purchased on AB or had fish shipped.  I can imagine what he must feel like having a box of protentional dead fish arrive at his door.  I have done my best to reassure him without getting his hopes up too much.  I need to get with him now to tell him that in this case the drop and plop method is the best if the fish do arrive alive.

My little girl chick is doing just fine.  I've got the high bid so far on another dozen fertile eggs.

Today is dog bed sheets washing day.  It's sunny and warm so I can dry everything outside rather than it the dryer.  This might be the last time I can dry outside.  They say rain tomorrow, then it will probably turn cold again.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Not a good afternoon for me.  The dark rams in the box that was so late arrived dead.  The female albino pleco he wanted made it alive.  Little chick is still fine.  The auction for the fertile eggs I bid on will end in 2 hrs.  I think I'll do a WC to get the poor guy with the dead fish out of my mind.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Liz, thanks for the advice. I will most definitely heed it when the times comes for me to do it. |^| |^| |^|

Gee you all have a lot on your plates today, this weekend. Hope things get better.  Me, I have just been helping 2 elderly ladies.  Good weather.  Tomorrow I am driving most of the day to visit my daughter for her birthday, we are eating lunch in a park.  I may make a hole in my mask to eat, LOL.  I will be safe.  I realized today, for the first time, hadn't thought about it before today, that this holiday season, Oct-Jan is my first to be totally alone. Never has happened to me before.  But I have good friends and relatives to cheer me up.  You are 3 of them.
