No rain here, just hot as hell.

I did a dog at 9 and the owners admired all my little puppies which made me happy.  Then I cleaned out the chicken house and shoveled all the shavings and poop on to dear Charlotte.  The chicken house is always in full shade, but by the time I got done my gardens to be were in full sun.  It'll have to wait till early morning before I'll unload in into my gardens.  I'm determined to turn that clay gravel sub soil into good soil.

Although it's dry now, the grass grew back when it was raining some every day.  I need to mow but it'll have to be in the cool of the early mornings.

We went over by 'Tales' early and got a place in line......the younger 6mos old shepherd pup was snagged by some folks ahead of us.....we did see some great Blue healer 8+wk old pups but they were only free for the dogs 6mos and older...they wanted $400 each which includes shots/ fix'n. and the 8wk puppy training classes....but that's $400 needed elsewhere right now, dang it....so,,nope

..grabbed a big 'Jersey Mike's' Italian sub for lunch and we're chill'n for the day.....rain slacked off for a bit, tho we didn't get a lot....supposedly it'll pick up later..... |^|

I can fix you up with a free puppy, Mug.  But it looks like your wanting a GSD.  Mine are small mix breeds.

Charlotte took me to town for beer.  We were blowing shavings out the back, but that's OK.  After all she is a farm truck.  I give her a kiss on the steering wheel every time she takes me somewhere and gets me back without incident.

Did some running around this morning and picked up some wood to build a couple of stands for a couple of 75s I bought. I want to build single tank stands because I don't want to have to bend down for bottom tanks anymore. Going to phase out my 55g double stand next.

I don't use my lower rack at all and have to get on a step ladder to work the upper rack.  I have some excellent quality large tanks down there if I should ever have a need for them.
Always move forward. Never look back.

.....the kittens up for adoption were absolutely beautiful...,,,the older cats were very nice too......really thought over a large markings calico... huh

I wouldn't recommend a blue heeler.  They're bred to move a heard of cattle by biting their heels.  I've seen both nice pet ones and ones that were meant to be nice pet ones but got too much of the heeler gene.

...Liz...we had a blue heeler for over 16 yrs....their behavior towards herding animals doesn't translate into human interaction, tho Wiggles herded the kids in the backyard  :).....Blue heelers are one of the smartest, most loyal, dogs on earth....
..locally here there are 'heeler' events where the young farmers, etc show 'em working cattle ....we'd have another in a heart beat.... |^|....

....albeit some males bond to their handlers more exclusively.....especially in isolated areas...it's all how they're reared....working or non working environments

OK.  I've known a lot of nice ones.  One of these days I'll be wanting a large dog if I outlive old Big Head.  He's a Basset/Sharpei cross.  He has a big deep woof but he's the sweetest dumb old dog that ever lived.  He showed as a 3 month old pup up under my old Katrina house when I first came back here 12 years ago.

I remember the 'woof'....we had a basset hound in our family....Mom used to clothes pin his ears up we he was fed.....LOL.....Pokey was great.....except he'd jump up to sit with you then relax and fart.....LOL.......every time....Mom hid him when they had company over....LOL
