Title: Rio Negro/Sta Isabel Spawning
Post by: PaulineMi on February 03, 2014, 07:15:02 PM
Jon I now know why these angels are so cool to observe when they spawn.  They will attack everything and anything that comes near the tank, including me.  I never had angels like this.  I decided not to do the planned water change so as not to upset them.  I will put them in their own tank one of these days and see if they will raise a spawn.  They are awesome!

Those are some gorgeous fish in a beautiful tank Pauline.  Makes we want a tank of wild Angels too!  Great photos by the way.   ;)

That's a great picture.  They are pretty with there breeding colors. It looks like a nice size spawn too.

Thanks everyone.

These particular angels and tank are turning out to be my favorites.  I have three low tech tanks set up with plants, driftwood and very pretty angels. The albino Dantums are lovely with a gorgeous profile. The family room tank contains angels that look like jewels...glitter and iridescence galore. However I find myself just standing and watching these guys most often. The natural "back to nature" thing is most compelling for me.

Couldn't agree more Pauline.  It's hard to improve on a million years of evolution.....

I think the wild type striped angels are the most beautiful ones out there. Your photos are great!

My second favorites are the solid black veils.  Interesting...from the most natural to the, probably, least natural!
