My sister lived there and I went out there to visit with her shorty before she passed away. I feel very saddened by this dam situation. They've known about this for over 6 years.
California contributes more in tax dollars than any other state in the country yet they can't get the funding for critical infrastructure repairs. huh

...and with even more rain coming, this isn't going to get any prettier either.....heaven forbid a 5.0+ quake through the region....
I was thinking about how difficult its going to be to fix the spillway before next winter's rains. They would have to build a bypass spillway and wait until the flows go down sometime around May, then fix the main one and the emergency one in about 6 months. If this is the only way, it would take one hell of an effort.
