Anyone expecting some Xmas spawns??....free swimmers??....We've got a couple frisky pairs here that are cleaning.....
My Plats spawned in the community tank last week but unless they hid them well they are all gone. :o lol
The HB's and PB marbles are cleaning again....should be soon, if not today/tomorrow??
For the past 3 spawns my pinoy clown x blue smokey leopard pr have been spawning the same day as my halfblack or and my halfblack pr spawned a couple days ago so I figured they should spawn any day now
My niece is in labor right now, does that count?

Awww....a Christmas baby. What a nice gift.
I have a Christmas Eve spawn. The parent raisers some of whose kids I'll be sending to Greydragon next months spawned on the glass despite haveing a perfectly acceptable normal cone in the tank ::)
And my pair just finished the job. Female from Liz, male from Mellowaquatics. No news yet about our niece.

I will have full free swimmers of HB standard fin in the morning.
...are they up yet???....
This pair is right on the verge. See the tubes? They're not half bad considering the length of their finnage. They ate their eggs last time and I expect the same this time. Not everyone cares about that. They'll make a nice pair to sell on Aquabid.
Koi OS #3 just laid a nice spawn in their new home.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
She has finally decided to lay. I was afraid that the male would get sick of her endless foreplay and suck it back up into his body ::) These are just practice runs, no eggs yet. The male is fertilizing nothing. She certainly got him worked up ;)
My Christmas day HB free swimmers

...very, very nice, George....pretty pair too... ;D
Very nice.
Thank you. The pair I got from you Liz have 15 fry that are a few weeks old and growing nicely. I guess I will keep them for future breeders.
The pair I sold you did way better here, but I guess 15 is better than nothing. At what size will you turn loose of some of the spawn you pictured?

I'd be interested too.... ;D....have fry from a previous spawn of this pair??.....expressing percentage?
I have a batch from their first spawn around dime size and it looks like they are starting to turn but not sure. The have the stripe on the back of the body but the black has not filled in yet. I moved them all into a 100 gallon tank from a 55 and hope to see them change soon. I will get a photo of them this weekend I have to go to work in the morning. If they don't fill in I may tank a few to the pet store.
I got some have half black blushers that I purchased as non-expressing but they changed for me as they got bigger so I call them my late bloomers. Maybe these will change as the get older also.

Anyone expecting some Xmas spawns??....
Totally unexpected, those crazy green Cories spawned again. I moved them from the first tank to let the eggs hatch and after a quick water change, they spawned in their new tank. Scraped the eggs into a deli container and they are floating in the first spawning tank.
