I like the ideal of putting it in the tank. I'm using a 2.5g to keep the water warm.

That's what we used to do but then we lost the space for it to...yep a tank...so to compromise Aron created this and works great as long as it doesn't overflow and you get a ton of salt and brine into the tank!!! But to rate it on a 1-10 scale definitely a 10+

I like the ideal that I don't need to use another heater or keep cleaning the 2.5g. I have a air stone in the tank but the water gets nasty in a few days. I found out the hard way that if the 2.5 is dirty I woun't get a good hatch rate. It will also free up the 2.5 for more spawns :D
