Pre-technology...interesting to get to see that communications piece.
When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because those weirdos are your tribe.  (Sweatpants & Coffee)

FDR let our country out of many disasters.  He was a strong leader and a socialist, to boot.
Always move forward. Never look back.

We're paying the price now for his actions. Many economists believe that his actions caused the depression to last longer than it should have.

They'll argue about the 'New Deal' til the cows come home....things for the economy went sour for a bit as expected, but soon began to began to grow, then was halted by a recession in the late 30's, only to gain full steam during the war years....fact is: the great depression was really that bad....it didn't help any that the Reublicans, who were in charge when the depression happened, fought against FDR at every turn.....much like they are doing now to our current President.....they just couldn't stand the fact that FDR was succeeding where they had failed in the beginning....

Your 'right wing' articles leave that part conveniently out....party politics has been around forever....

note:
"Despite the New Deal?s many measures and their alleviation of the worst effects of the Great Depression, it was the humming factories that supplied the American war effort that finally brought the Depression to a close. And it was not until 1954 that the stock market regained its pre-Depression levels."

Yes Jon, can't trust them like we can the liberal media. The liberal media doesn't lie or make stuff up. <<cough cough>>

I didn't say that they didn't......but some outlets on both sides go to extremes.....Fox just plain distorts the news, many others (both sides) just omit parts of the news to provide a bias 'first glance' slant...

It's sad that the media uses hype, rather than fact, to showcase their respective reporting....

You single out Fox but all of them have been found to distort the "news". CNN and the rest are just as bad. You've got to watch more than one anymore to get to brass tacks.

But hey, we do agree that it is sad the media uses the hype. That agreement in itself deserves another sip of coffee.
