Empty tanks

How long do they stay empty?  Not long over here.  I had 4 empty breeding tanks and now they are all filled with spawning pairs.  I need more acceptable breeding surfaces.  A couple of pairs have nothing to spawn on than penises.  I think that my penises are a funny joke, but they are hurting my business because I can't post pics to sell the pairs.  My joke played a joke on me   I think I'll get with Barb and buy some real cones.
