If I was to raise some, would you be interested in some for experimental reasons?

Perhaps. I'll have to think about it.

I had always thought of these two species as having identicle body shapes but with drastically different coloration patterns.
Now (after looking at a lot of pictures of these two species and the hybrid) I can see how they could grade into each other.
