Right this minute Ted Judy is on his way with one of our GSAS member hosts to visit Aron's fishroom.  Aron was like a little kid last night.  (He'll probably bust my chops for writing that..!!! - but that's okay, I'll buy him a beer and he'll get over it!).  I can understand why though...Ted's a great fish guy and has given so much to the hobby.

I hope Arn will post the details on here!

Happy Tuesday to all!  I'm ging to start packing up stuff for tonight's mini-auction.

Nice!  Looking forward to the report.

3 months ago, after hearing that Ted Judy was going to be a presenter at a Greater Seattle Aquarium Society (GSAS) meeting.  I extended him an open invitation to stop over and see my fish room.  Well I have to say that today was one of the highlights being an aquarium guy. I got not only to met a mentor (Mugwump you are still #1  and the person I will always goto first.) of the fish hobby.  I got a once in a life time chance I to share my fish room and my Passion of the aquarium hobby with some one I have followed for many years. I have watch about all of Ted's video's since my own beginning and have I have emulated (or stolen) allot of his ideas and practices into my own fish room. From building my first tank rack to his feeding disc's (see the DIY section for that one).  His vast knowledge of fish and breeding practice's and to have him standing in my fish room made my day and will be something I wil never forget. His schedule was limited to only a half hour, but he made me feel like my fish room was something that he enjoyed sharing.

I stared out talking about the different fish in my breeding program Angel fish, Apistograma's,Discus, Killies, sword tails, BN's etc etc.
Then I showed him my water system holding tank and water change setup. Then it was my turn to ask questions so I asked him about his fry rack and what some of the issues that he was having and things that needed improving. I showed him my version of his feeding disks and even shared with him a prototype I was working on. He seemed very interested in what I had to say regarding the modification to his design (more angelfish friendly version).

I have say that was the fastest 30 min of my live.  I had to tell his escort and fellow member that it felt like a tease only getting 30 min. I remember first time I went to Jon's house we where there for 4 hours (that felt like 30 min)talking about fish.

I did something just for you jon.  I gave Ted a bottle of wine and told him the store about the bottom... LOL.. He loved it.

I asked him to sign the most recent Tropical fish article:

Unfortunately Ted did not bring his camera that day to the fish room but here is his video of the Seattle Aquarium:
