Need advice on rebuilding tanks

Dang.  I'd never even considered that, Dennis!  With the huge center brace nothing should have been  leaning out.  It wasn't as bad with the second tank, but enough that I still wanted the clamp.  The problem was most likely with the replacement glass.  I want to be able to trust these tanks.  Silicone is amazing stuff.  Fingers crossed.

Finally got up the nerve to fill the tanks and test them.  One is fine, one sprung a leak.  I reexamined my siliconing in that place and I messed up.  Doesn't bother me in the least.  Not after the disaster I averted last night.  I'll let it dry out and re-do that side Saturday.   What's one more week.

Leave the other one full while you wait to re-caulk the other one.....just for grins ;D
