When I woke up I was expecting a box of goodies today and then the news people reminded me that it was Columbus day which means no mail delivery. huh Oh well now I have to wait another day to work on the air system.  ::)

Coffee is good and there is a little chill in the air. Going up to the mid 70s today though so overall a nice day on tap. Some more work on the garage, putzing and maybe some grilling sounds good today. |^|

Crap. Monday. Another day at work.

But at least yesterday I got all the wood cut and dry fitted for the 22-40-22 rack.

And I really don't feel like going to tonight's AA meeting.

Just don't feel like driving that far today. Just feel like getting a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner.

Liz, if I lived closer to you that would mean the AA meeting is further away from both of us.
If YOU Lived closer it would be a different story though.

I was in the one in Hattiesburg 25 years ago.  It sucked compared to the open meetings I went to with my mom when I was young.  Hers were more like a social gathering with lots of good stories.  We just had a bunch of former drunks trying to stay away from the stuff here.  I quit after a year or so.  Still stayed sober until 2003 when I decided that I didn't give a shit and would rather drink.

.I wish our daughter and her husband would go, and stop drinking.  They are keeping the Vodka makers in business.  At least the company who makes the vodka that comes in a blue bottle.  I don't drink, except Diet Coke.

I quit beers and cigars on the same day years ago. I just decided it was not doing me any good and it was something I didn't want to do anymore.

I rushed home from work every day and jumped on the computer to see if anybody bought any fish food. While the old computer was warming up I would have one or two along with a cigar or two. It made me wonder one day if I was in a hurry to check my e-mail, or was I in a hurry to have the beers and cigars? I still check my e-mail regularly on a much faster computer. LOL

I used to drink a 12 pack a day at work then more with dinner.
decided to skip tonight. Just not into listening to a talk on South American Cichlids and until I actually set up the new rack I am out of tank space yet I know I would wind up buying more fish at my Awesome Aquarist meeting.

Wow, you were worse that I am.  I drink 8 or 9 a day starting when I'm waiting for my last dog to be picked up.  Ever since my customer gave me a small fridge for the shop I've been keeping cute little baby 8 oz Budweiser's in it.  When I drink 12 beers in a day I'm really pushing my limits.

Yes. You never mentioned beer only DC and the venerable VODKA, a nice liquor but I did prefer rum myself with the DC. But it's been decades. Can't see spending money on a bottle I know I will never finish and I don't do bars. And even when we eat out it's money I rather spend on fish. I do every so often get a Sam Adams when we go out. After 1 it's now unsweetened iced tea.

One problem I've never had was booze. I've been drunk twice. I've never liked not being in control. And I can remember the last time I was drunk. Either yesterday or Dec 12 1980.
