Too Many Fish. Not Enough Tanks.

Something like that would be impossible here.  People don't care enough about fish even for there to be a fish club wfwf

It seems like the aquarium hobby is centered around the great lakes and Florida. I don't think there is anything even close to that west of the Rockies.

Atlanta and Dallas have strong Discus clubs.  I believe I've been to ACA's in both of those places so there must be something fishy going on there.

I must need new glasses.  Those pictures looked perfectly clear to me.

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's snobbery and one-upmanship. People trying to pretend they're superior. Makes it so much harder for those of us who really are.

I like the pic of the drift wood guy with his little kid.

Hey, Liz a lot of vendors bring their kids and involve them in the hobby. it is a good way to talk to them as they grow and it also keeps them close to home and out of trouble. Jon and I have seen some of the kids grow up with the hobby as they help out at swaps. A lot of people bring their kids to the swaps to buy for the kids tanks. A couple of swaps ago I got to hold a 3 week old baby, it was great he was so good. It is great to talk to these parents that involve their kids.  I think that is why Jon and I like the hobby, meeting all of the people and talking to them is really fun.

Isn't that the sad truth.  I keep thinking maybe that will happen at the OCA extravaganza each year.  It was much better this year.....
