Ritz crackers with slices of cheese and hard salami, dressed with Miracle Whip. Then went off to the GSAS meeting.

Wow, Dennis...my HS days were full of trips to 'Bob's Big Boy'....xtra cheese, heavy rel...LOL...and those really thick milk shakes....MMMMmmmm . The 'Big Boy' drive-in in Pasadena, Ca. was out on Colorado Blvd....cars were lined up around the block waiting to get in...guys were talking cars, and racing up on a side street in Altadena.....had my 57 chev, midnight blue, 283 block, quad, Hurst shifter...not fast but looked awful good. Radio blaring 'Dick Dale and the Deltones', 'Beach Boys', 'Jan & Dean', 'Righteous Bros', 'Surfari's', Four Season's', ......fun times ;D

Yep....I remember those "Big Boy" days.  The back row of the parking area was for Corvettes only.  That was back in the day when there were songs about cars and car hops were common. My first job other than babysitting was as a car hop. I had kind of forgotten about that.

It was Shoney's Big Boy in Roanoke Va.  The sad part is that I probably didn't realize I shoulda been tipping the carhops... :-\
