I'm so excited!  I read all the knife threads on my cooking forum and everyone in every thread insisted that you must hold the knife in your hand before you buy it.  That doesn't work for me.  There is one place in Hattiesburg that would let me handle a knife.  It's next door to my LFS.  But it is a store for people with money, not common folk like me huh  Then I posted my own thread entitled Buying Knives Makes My Head Swim. I got the usual blah blah blah... One nice person posted a review from American Test Kitchens for chef's knives.  After I watched that one I watched the one they had on slicing knives and the one on bread knives (the 3 knives I most want).  The Vicorinox won hands down in all cases.  You should watch the reviews and see the in depth research they do before they make their choice.  It's very impressive.  I did more research.  ATK does not accept money or free products from the producers of the products they review.  They pay retail and buy off the shelf.

My knives should arrive Thursday.  I can't wait!
