They're not yet quite a month old.  I have 20 or 25 of them.  I see nothing so far in any of them that I don't like.  For their age their shape is perfect and there is not a spot of pepper to be seen.

?Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ?Wow! What a Ride!? ~ Hunter S. Thompson

It's amazing how fast they grow considering they're mouths are too small for BBS when they free swim.

When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because those weirdos are your tribe.  (Sweatpants & Coffee)

I moved my children to another tank today, a 29 next to the 29 the parents are in.  The tanks are four inches away from each other but the parents can see the kids and the kids and the kids can see the parents.   The female is the one who didn't care for them at first.  Once she's laid 5 tunes in just a few weeks time, she descded that she loves them.  She spends all her time looking them through the glass and they spend all their time looking back at her.  They'll just have to get over it.

Perhaps when I move the pair, I'll put them in one of my 60 wide's and make a 100 or a 120 availableto them to grow until  their parents get sick of them.  It would be fun and help me with culling.  It's easy to cull fry when they have some deformity.  Growing them larger makes faults easier to see but also makes you have to get your strength up to kill fish.  It's hard to cull a bunch of healthy fish, but if I want to produce a show fish it's what I have to do.

I quit breeding mammals because it was too emotionally taxing.  I chose fish because they're "just fish" but I find myself in the same position.

I'm just pissin' and moanin'.  Pay no attention.  I'm a breeder.  Cuilling makes the gene pool better..

Always move forward. Never look back.
