I take my sponges apart before I clean them. I have been doing thing the hard way :o

Nice video.  I think I probably need to do my sponges more frequently.

LOL..when I rotate sponges that are in multi sponged tanks...I toss em in the washer...15+ or so at a time...take em out to air dry...works nicely  ;D

Do you use the gentle cycle, warm, clear water?

Regular wash....cold/warm setting....note: after the spin cycle they do come out a little out of round...just squeeze em back in shape....you'll also discover the older deteriorating sponges..little pieces come off them....I then toss em...or use em for spares ??...
