Yes, it's true. Paprika has huge amounts of beta-carotene and vitamin A. Two very good things for your fish to eat.

It is a color enhancer as well.

Mostly Red's.  It will turn yellow fish orange.  for yellow I've been told they used crushed Marigold flowers.

I turned a blue fish red with an ingredient I was experimenting with once. Wrote and published a short article about it.

I would like to read that article.  Would you be kind enough to post it or give us a link?

I wonder if that's how they get the German Reds????.....they quickly fade out when purchased and growing....

The easiest place to find it is at Aquatic-Terrors.com in their article section.

Yup, that's it. BTW the product has yet to be put on the market even though it was scheduled for release in the fall of 2011. I've dis-continued my testing after two years.

Did you discontinue it's use of your own accord? What was your final opinion of the product overall?

Do you know the ingredients?

I don't know the exact ingredients, but I may try to work the recipe a different way. I discontinued tests of my own accord because the manufacturer delayed the production. It may never be released.

I use Tetra color flakes on Koi angels, it makes a difference and pops the reds and oranges on any fish that has them.
I have 100 fish tanks, but two pairs of shoes. The latter is proof that I am still relatively sane. The question is...relative to what?

Ted told me to dope koi food with paprika. I thought that was odd. Glad to see other people have heard of it. Haven't done it yet.
