First cat in space gets her due

Jan. 31, 2017

In 1963 France sent the first cat into space, but the history of this brave feline is largely unknown, Gizmodo reports. Why? Maybe because of ?our puptriarchal society that favors the achievements of dogs,? Gizmodo suggests, among other possibilities. Though some details of the space cat's story remain controversial, one thing is clear: For 15 glorious minutes a kitty named F?licette was a catronaut.

Hmmm... do you think F?licette should be called a "catronaut" or an "astrocat"?
