The wild types include F1 Cuipeau that I purchased and one of their better offspring of my breeding.  The leopard is a crappy pic of a good fish.  The White Pigeon male is the best fish in the tank.  I won the pigeons in a NADA raffle.

He's a decent fish.  There's a small dent between the mouth and the start of the forehead but it isn't bad.  He has a  hard ray toward the start of his dorsal that spikes out.  Unfortunately, the other Pigeon in the tank that is not as good a fish is either a male that looks like a female or just doesn't care for the good proven male.

Nice fish Liz.

You don't subscribe to the "never put angels and discus together" way of thinking?  I don't know enough to say anything except I know some people do it and others won't.
When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because those weirdos are your tribe.  (Sweatpants & Coffee)

Those that don't are usually are following old school techniques used when Discus were first really getting started for the hobby...IMHO....it was most likely a prudent precaution at that time..but if a hobbyist practices good quarantine habits...there's really no reason that you can not...but that being said...it should be done in moderation by an experienced keeper...Angels when breeding can be pretty rough....most discus don't get quite that bad.....others opinions???

I do not subscribe to that myth, but breeding Angels are pretty hard on Discus.  I have a pair of Koi from Jon who delight in tormenting the larger Discus.

You have some beautiful Discus Liz.  Maybe one day I'll get up the nerve to try them.
