Google has announced that going HTTPS ? adding a SSL 2048-bit key certificate on your site ? will give you a minor ranking boost. To that end, I thought it would be prudent to get some experience.... here's what I came up with.

Why yes it is! lol When it hit me... well that's what triggered the post.
I'm going to switch gears a bit in my IT career and get back to my roots so to speak. While I'm not going to drop any of my existing clients, going forward I hope to be doing web based development work instead of consulting/engineering work.
Using a combination of FREE and low cost technology I think I can offer turn-key web sites that include a couple hours of my time for something close to the cost of a monthly phone bill. I'm quickly approaching retirement age and hope to have several supplemental income streams in addition to SS.
