Is the pattern on Marbles totally random? I have some kids that are very dark Marbles with a white streak going up the dorsal. That pure white (it's actually blue) is very striking against the black. Is there any chance that I could breed for that trait?

It might be a streak gene ??.....yes, it's random markings on marbles.....but I've seen some marble patterns be traits?...on certain lines....that will show up on some fry also.....
There is a streaked gene that expresses as a white streak on the dorsal fin. If that is what you have, yes you can breed for that trait.

yup...streaked is a recognized gene....
