Possible Way to Eradicate Malria

A gene drive mechanism has been proposed to spread human antibody genes that can prevent mosquitoes from spreading the malaria parasite.
Gene drive mechanisms bias genetic inheritance so more (or most or all) offspring carry a genetic trait than Mendelian genetics would normally dictate. It distorts normal inheritance rules.
Concerns remain about using it in the wild since it would spread genes through whole populations in a complex ecosystem.
